Mission of the program

At the Beaver Dam Fire Department's Cadet Program, our mission is to cultivate the next generation of fire service professionals by providing a dynamic and comprehensive training experience. We strive to empower young individuals with the skills, knowledge, and values necessary to serve our community with integrity, courage, and unwavering dedication. Through mentorship, teamwork, and hands-on learning, we aim to foster a culture of continuous growth, instilling in our cadets a passion for excellence, a commitment to safety, and a profound sense of responsibility towards the protection and well-being of others. Together, we aspire to build a resilient and compassionate firefighting force, shaping the leaders of tomorrow who will proudly carry the torch of service and uphold the highest standards of the fire service profession.

EMS Trainings

Fire cadet EMS trainings focus on training aspiring firefighters to the EMT-Basic level in emergency medical services. Cadets learn essential skills such as basic life support, CPR, patient assessment, and vital signs monitoring. Through hands-on simulations and field experiences, we prepare cadets to respond effectively to medical emergencies, complementing their firefighting abilities and enhancing their overall readiness in emergency situations.

Fire Trainings

Our Fire Department's Cadet Program provides training to the Wisconsin Firefighter I level, equipping cadets with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in firefighting. Through hands-on exercises, simulations, and classroom instruction, cadets learn fire dynamics, suppression techniques, and safety protocols. They develop proficiency in search and rescue operations, equipment usage, and effective teamwork. Our training prepares cadets to confidently respond to fire incidents, ensuring the protection of lives and property.

Trips

Our Cadet Program offers trips to technical schools, fire department tours, and historical sites like the World Trade Center in New York. These experiences expose cadets to cutting-edge technology, different firefighting approaches, and the rich history of the fire service, inspiring their passion and shaping them into well-rounded firefighters.

Special Events

Our Cadet Program hosts fundraisers to support our mission and engages in public education events to promote fire safety awareness and community involvement. These initiatives strengthen community bonds and contribute to the growth and success of our program.
