Taking todays cadets and making tomorrow's firefighters.

History

Established in 2009, our Cadet Program has a strong history. Our experienced advisors, who are members of our department, guide and mentor high school students (grades 9-12) aspiring to become firefighters. Many of our past cadets have gone on to secure employment within our department or other respected fire departments. We are proud of their accomplishments and remain committed to shaping the future generation of skilled and dedicated firefighters.

In 2020, our program took a group of cadets to tour Rescue One and the world trade center in New York City.

Where we are today

Our program offers a comprehensive and successful training experience for aspiring firefighters. With a track record of 7+ cadets hired, including 4 currently working full-time, we have a proven history of preparing cadets for professional firefighting careers. Our progressive training schedule ensures continuous skill development and growth. Additionally, our program provides opportunities for trips and visits to enhance cadets' knowledge and exposure to the fire service. We take pride in maintaining a healthy membership, fostering a vibrant community of aspiring firefighters.

One of our recent trainings included training with our ariel platform truck 1271.
Recently our cadets participated in a 6 month cumulative simulated fire scenario.
